Chevron Dresses

As fall is approaching, I wanted to let everyone know some of the best deals going on for chevron, aka "zig zag" dresses.

A great dress for fall, which is $25 and is now sold out can be found here

The classic Black Chevron, which can be found at several different sites. I did some searching and did a price comparison for the cutest chevron dresses I could find:

  1. This dress comes in two colors, but I prefer the black and white. It is only $22.20!!

   2.  Zig Zag dress, long sleeve, $43.00

   3.  This chevron dress has a turquoise touch to it, and is on sale for $24.99!!

 4.  My final pick is the Chevron with PINK!! Oh my gosh this is SO adorable but they only have it left in a large. What a cute dress!!

Now, I did come across a few other cute dresses while I was doing my search..So I thought I would share!

These are obviously summer dresses, but down in Columbia, it is still hot so they could still be worn slightly longer!

Another dress I came across would be gorgeous for new years, it is only $50.00

If you love gold, you may also love these shorts, $36.00

I also found a dress that I found PERFECT for NC STATE Games...$39.99..could be worn with cowboy boots and of course a black scarf!!

Another dress cute for nearly any tailgait...It has super cute bows that tie at the top. $64.00

Hope you all have enjoyed the dresses..Let me know if you have any questions!!

Cozumel

I would like to start off first by saying how GREAT my time was in Mexico!! My wonderful boyfriend Grant surprised me with a weekend getaway to Cozumel, Mexico with Carnival Cruiselines with our great friends Megan and Cameron from Atlanta, GA. It was quite the trip. We drove down to Tampa as soon as I got off of work and stayed with one of Grant’s best friends from USC.

A free place to stay is always a wonderful thing. I never realized so many homes in Florida had massive sunrooms attached to their backside. They were massive, and almost every house had one—very foreign to homes in the Carolinas.

We went to ChikFilA for breakfast before boarding the ship, and I was amazed at how gorgeous Orlando was. I hadn’t been there since I was a young child. The palm trees were much larger than I remember and taller than the traditional SC Palmetto trees in Columbia. When I first moved to Columbia, it was made known to me that the state flag’s tree was not the palm, but the palmetto.

My bag from ChikFilA foreshadowed the game for NCSU vs Tennessee.

It is a shame that we lost that game by the way. But the Gamecocks won!!!! Grant and I celebrated the game on the ship...

My favorite part about our trip was of course dressing up. We were there for only a few nights so I wanted to make the most of it.

We also went snorkeling in Cozumel, and I saw a barracuda underneath me. That was more than scary seeing its largemouth and teeth only 5 or 10 feet below me.

The excursion came with very smoothe margaritas and authentic Mexican beer. One of the crew members, Malin, gave me her t-shirt.

It reminds me of something from southern marsh gone patriotic.

Aside from snorkeling, we also did some gambling. My best friend Megan’s boyfriend Cameron won over $500 on the roulette table. I only lost a little money, but I enjoyed playing since we were on vacation.

The last night, the cruise ship started moving very quickly. Instead of rocking up and down like it had been the past few nights, it started almost vibrating and I noticed we were going much faster. When we all played putt putt golf on the top of the ship earlier that day, the overhead crew worker said something about a "code alpha" in a foreign voice so I payed no attention ...until at dinner ...they mentioned we were going at top speed because a person on board was very ill and we had to rush back to Floridafor their safety.

About an hour after the announcement, our Captain let everyone know that we had to clear off the top deck because a helicopter would be landing on top of the ship for an emergency rescue. We went outside and were able to witness the helicopter land. All I could think about was how expensive the helicopter ride must have been for the person having to fly on it. It was definitely a life or death type situation. Nonetheless, it was an interesting turn of events that none of us had expected.

I absolutely loved being by the ocean, hearing the sea gulls & smelling the salty air. I can’t wait to go back again soon!
